Pocket places & biscuits

Yes, this blog is named Oh Airbiscuits. So maybe its time for a little background...
When we got our trailer to camp glamp in, we needed to set up a user name on Airforums. Airforums is a site for those either who have an Airstream or for those having interest in Airstreams. So, finding a user name is a huge hurdle because there are hundreds of thousands of members here. So after stewing for a week, we had to do a little touch up paint on her since her endcaps are made of steel and were starting to show off her shiny, and the paint color that matches the original is labeled "biscuit."  So biscuit it was. The tow vehicle then became gravy. :)  At any given time you will also find dog biscuits in our trailer since we travel with two of the furbabies... it all just kind of fit. So since it is an Airstream Argosy, Airbiscuit became my username. (Feel free to look me up on Airforums and send me a buddy request!)  In order to create a blog, you need to have a unique url, well why not keep with the theme, so Airbiscuits it is since we will be discussing camping, infertility/IVF, and all sorts of other antics! Oh, and the oh in "Oh Airbiscuits" is because of our state we live in! O-H ... I-O (you know you did it)

Here is our home pocket place for Biscuit.
All settled in her pocket

Enough to open the door!
Barely fits!

Doesn't this look like a fun place to back into? Good thing I have a great navigator to keep me from taking out the fence (to keep from nailing the neighbors cars) and from taking the gutter off the house!

My Navigator
Here is another favorite fun place we like to park! This is at the Pennwood Airstream Park. We fit perfect in this hard to park spot. The first time we went here, the park was close to full and they were looking for a shorter trailer. They got us. So in the dark, without waking the neighbors on either side, we backed in (no yelling or flashlights involved) much to the surprise of the guys who were directing parking. They had asked my father if he thought I could do it or if he needed to park it. My dad stood at the pole, mom at the guy wire base, and backed it in I did! Then once parked, the parking guy walked up to my window and said "Not bad for a girl." Sheesh! The lady next door to us at breakfast kept asking who it was, who backed in to the spot and she was directed to us. Many confronted my hubby and he said, "I didn't do it. It was my wife." The lady's response was "She is my hero. I need to meet her!" Haha! Awesome. More ladies need to tow!

What you can't see, is we backed in under a guy wire with a pole on one side and a heavy wire on the other.

I am glad I get to tow Biscuit and enjoy meeting many people along the way. I am also thankful my hubby is a great navigator and does a great job making sure I don't hit anything!

We are at it again

So, we elected to go ahead with our last of the remaining frozen embies.
FET Cycle #5 began last week with the Lupron injections. You can see the timeline here: IVF Calendar

So woo, fun. We again doing the acupuncture and have also adding in a chiropractor. I went in last week for a blood panel and everything looks well, but I need to watch my triglycerides. I guess the wine the day before probably didn't help. But damn it, the small window I get to enjoy a nice glass of wine is small... and I wanted wine! Anyways, back to behaving I guess.

A few weeks ago, I went and got a new tattoo. I have been contemplating it for quite some time, and there is a guy who we went to school with that does some amazing work here in town. After spending some sit down planning time with him, we laid out the design and then it was a matter of finding the time to get it done when Mike was around to be with me.(Wanted to get it done when we were not in a cycle as well since I am on a blood thinner during the cycle) So, without further ado, and since it has mostly healed, this is what it looks like:

Hope, Love, and Our Journey

While we are doing this cycle, our camping season has started back up and we have a good friend who is getting married soon so I will have other things to focus on. (May blog about this later, I have found it to be quite interesting.) So thats what we have been up to and expect more later! :)

TAC OH Amish Country Rally

My Co-pilots
This past weekend we hosted The Airstreamer's Club Ohio contingent, 3rd Annual Amish Country Rally at Wayne County Fairgrounds in Wooster, Ohio. The weather as usual was iffy so we opted to not de winterize. 99% of the time, we fill our fresh water tank at home and we have no qualms about drinking from it or giving it to the dogs. However, since it was going to be below 32 degrees Thursday and Friday nights we opted to go with water in gallon jugs to use for water for the dogs and to flush toilets. The good thing about this fairgrounds is they give us use of a heated building with a kitchen to gather for meals and fellowship but also the use of heated showers and restrooms! So, not having a full fresh water tank was not a big deal. We packed like crazy Wednesday so that Thursday I could get up, pick up our order of four dozen donuts from IGA, and head south to Wooster. Mike had to be at work for the day on Thursday and would drive down right from work to join us. Mom & Dad followed me for the 45 minute road trip and upon arrival walked the area to figure out where we would be parking the expected 13 other units joining us. We got situated, paperwork with the fairgrounds was completed, keys were obtained for the Armstrong building and we were a go for the weekend of festivities! Our only monkey wrench was there was a dance troop that had reserved the Armstrong building for Thursday evening. That meant an alternate location was needed for our Thursday dinner with the hosts! The JAFB brewery was 1.5 miles away and it was there we would dine for the evening. Trailers began rolling in by noon and before too long we had two rows of silver (and biscuit) adorning the fairgrounds camp area.

On Friday, after donuts and coffee, Mike and I got to set off for some galavanting as we elected to stop at 61 Surplus which is a store for Amazon.com returns. I got some great items! We also found a paper towel dispenser for dad's workshop. We ran into Ken & Laurie there and then headed towards Dutch Valley Restaurant for lunch. Ken & I went with for the buffet while Mike & Laurie enjoyed some water loving animals. We then departed for the wineries on our list of todos and enjoyed some sampling at Breitenbach as well as Silver Moon. We ended up with a case of "the good stuff" to bring home. Then it was back to the campground for some last minute grocery shopping before the bean & weenies dinner we provide.

Saturday we headed off on girls shopping day with Mikie after donuts and coffee. We began our trip at Fin Feather Fur Outfitters, made some stops at some local chain and department stores then had lunch at Panara before Mike returned us to the campground. After some happy hour/trailer crawl fun as well as a game of cornhole (which i am HORRID at) we began prep for the evening festivites. Not only did we have a potluck planned, but we had a trailer park gift exchange as well as a raffle to help cover our costs for the rally. We were able to raffle off $104 in cold hard cash after we pulled out money to cover expenses. After lots of laughter it was time for a campfire before retiring for the evening.

Sunday morning brought our cereal bar and the departure of our silver friends until a later time in the season. Mike and I were the last to leave the area, it is amazing how our silver friends make sure everything is cleaned up before they take off and are sure to offer assistance if anything needs to be done.

I would like to thank everyone who showed up to make our rally successful:
Those who stayed with us:

I would really like to give a special shout out to those who assisted me with rally efforts of putting together the driving tour, assisting with directions, graphic designs and goodies for the bags, creative design of the folders, and so much more (like keeping me sane!) So thank you to Lou, Ella, & Jason!

See you all next year!
